B_01.01 Entity maintaining the register of information

What this template is for

B_01.01 identifies the entity that maintains and updates the register. It has one row. Its LEI is the anchor for the whole package: it names the reporting entity in the file name and in parameters.csv.

Filling it in

Enter the LEI, name, country, entity type and competent authority of the entity that maintains the register.
The date of the reporting (0060) is the reference date of the register. For the 2026 collection the AFM fixed it at 2025-12-31 (AFM (opens in a new tab)).
The same LEI must also appear in B_01.02, the list of entities in scope.

LEI: checked for format and check digits (ISO 17442). With online checks on, it is looked up in GLEIF, as the EBA does with rule VR_2.
Reporting entity: an empty B_01.01, or an LEI that is missing from B_01.02, is an error.
Reference date: a date in the future is an error; a date other than 31 December is a warning.
Package: the LEI and the reference date become the start of the package name and the entityID and refPeriod parameters, so they always match (error 714).
Access code: your access code is bound to the LEI in B_01.01 of the first workbook you validate with it.

This VR checks the format of column 0010 (LEI code)

Our explanation: The LEI must have 20 characters: 18 capital letters or digits, then two digits. The rule checks the LEI in "LEI of the entity maintaining the register of information" (c0010); the EBA's formula reaches it through the row's "Name of the entity" (c0020). Correct the LEI in c0010.
