Error code 805: empty key column

What the code means
A key column in one of your tables is empty. The register's templates are open tables, and in an open table no key value may be missing (EBA (opens in a new tab)).
The EBA's data model defines which columns are keys (EBA Data Model (opens in a new tab)). A few examples:

Typical cause
A key field was left blank because the value is unknown or seems not to apply. In B_02.02 it is often the location of storage or processing.
- The AFM says an empty location field in B_02.02 leads to rejection (AFM Q&A (opens in a new tab)).
- A mandatory field may sometimes stay blank, but a key field never (EBA FAQ, question 26 (opens in a new tab)).
- A cell holding only spaces also counts as empty.
How to fix it
Fill every key column in the Excel workbook. If there really is no value, use "Not Applicable", or the equivalent option in the drop-down list where one exists (EBA FAQ, question 26 (opens in a new tab)).
- Find the table, row and column in the message.
- Enter the missing value in the matching row of the workbook.
- If the country of storage or processing in B_02.02 is unknown, choose the most likely country. If no data is stored, choose "not applicable". A value such as "EU" is not allowed (AFM Q&A (opens in a new tab)).
- Build the package again, with a new timestamp.
Does DORA Convert catch it before you file?
Yes. Key fields are mandatory in our validation. An empty cell, or one holding only spaces, in a key column is an error on that row, and the package can't be built until it is fixed. We then check the built package for empty key values once more before you can download it.
