What the code means

The entityID parameter in parameters.csv is missing, or its value doesn't match the file name (EBA (opens in a new tab)). The EBA compares the LEI in entityID with the LEI at the start of the ZIP file name.

Typical cause

  • Missing parameter: parameters.csv has no entityID line. The file must hold entityID, refPeriod and baseCurrency (EBA Filing Rules (opens in a new tab)).
  • Different LEI: the file name and entityID were filled from different sources, for example a group entity's LEI in the name and the reporting entity's LEI in entityID.
  • Renamed file: the ZIP file was renamed to another LEI after it was built.

How to fix it

First check the reporting entity's LEI in the workbook. That is field 0010 in template B_01.01: the LEI of the entity maintaining the register. Then build the package again, so the file name and entityID get the same LEI.

  1. Enter the reporting entity's LEI in B_01.01, field 0010.
  2. Choose the right report type: .IND for an individual report, .CON for a consolidated report (AFM (opens in a new tab)).
  3. Build the package again and don't rename it afterwards.

On upload, the AFM also checks that the reporting entity's LEI matches its own records. If the AFM says it doesn't, contact [email protected] (AFM Q&A (opens in a new tab)).

Does DORA Convert catch it before you file?

Yes. DORA Convert takes the LEI for the file name and for entityID from the same field, B_01.01 field 0010, so they can't differ. Before you can download, we check that entityID exists and matches the file name. We also check the LEI's format and, with the GLEIF check on, that the LEI exists.

We can't see whether the LEI matches what the AFM holds for your company.
